Having said that I would consider putting SSD in your PC as it speeds up start up and various other processes so worth the investment. I purchased a Crucial Memory unit but their cloning software, Acronis, was limited.
Do your homework and look around for best prices and look to see if they come with Cloning software.
Some come with software that only clones the whole of your HDD which is OK unless like me you have partitioned your HDD and only want your Operating System partition cloned across to the SSD so I had to look at alternatives and one I found was Mini Tool Partition Wizard. It was quite straight forward to use.
Prices of SSDs have come down over time so worth the investment.
If you have a laptop you can substitute an SSD for your HDD if you feel adventurous. Can be fairly straightforward to do ... check YouTube for info on your laptop model. Experience shows older models had easier access to the HDD space.
